Comments:  The Gib’ Sea 284 is a spacious family cruising yacht with  generous cockpit space, due in part to her twin rudder steering which gives her excellent control ability under power and sail.  Her lifting keel has proven highly successful with her owners for shallow water sailing and she dries out upright. The hull has been cleaned back to the gelcote and primer and antifoul to be applied.  A brass folding propeller was added in 2007, increasing speed performance considerably. The Gib Sea  is a particularly fast sailing/race yacht especially in brisk conditions and she handles extremely well in heavy weather. She has a proven, successful, local race results record and a certified Clyde racing handicap.
